I flew with Virgin Australia from Australia to the US in a Premium Economy seat and then with Delta Airlines within the USA.
I had previously visited New York, but not in winter, so this was an awesome experience. We were able to go ice skating in Central Park and the huge Christmas trees and decorations throughout the city were really special.
Highlights of this visit were the MOMA Museum, a helicopter flight over NY at dusk, the 911 Museum, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Top of the Rock, a bicycle ride across the Brooklyn Bridge, and a New York Nicks basketball game at Madison Square Garden.
We stayed at the Weston Times Square, which is obviously in a great location!
I recommend using the Subway in NYC to get around as it's safe and cheap. a Travelex Money Card is a great, safe way to take your travel money. And always take out travel insurance as medical costs in the USA are astronomical so you need to be covered just in case!
