Club Med Bintan Island – A Slice of Paradise

I had the pleasure of experiencing Club Med Bintan Island, and it far exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything was taken care of – smooth transfers, welcoming staff, and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that made it easy to settle in.

Getting There
Even though Bintan is in Indonesia you have to fly to Singapore to get there and then catch a ferry to Bintan Island. I flew Qantas via Singapore, but many full-service airlines will now connect directly to the ferry, meaning overnight stays in Singapore are unnecessary. However, if you do stay overnight, Park Avenue Changi Hotel is a convenient option – just one MTR stop from the airport and across the road from shops and dining.

Seamless Arrival at Club Med
After a short 50-minute ferry ride to Bintan Island, Club Med staff met us at the terminal, organised our transfers, and even took care of our luggage. It was all very smooth and welcoming – complete with a drink on arrival and a delicious buffet lunch waiting for us.

Accommodation
I stayed in a Superior Seaview Room – which was spacious and comfortable. For extra comfort, I’d recommend upgrading to a Deluxe Room.

Food & Drink – A Highlight
The food was outstanding – fresh, varied, and full of flavour. With both buffet and à la carte options, plus beachside snacks and sunset drinks, it truly outshone many cruises and resorts I’ve experienced. All meals and drinks (from lunchtime) are included.

Resort Facilities
Club Med Bintan really shines when it comes to facilities:

  • Day Spa: An absolute standout. Treatments are in private rooms along a tranquil boardwalk, surrounded by ocean views.

  • Yoga: Beachfront yoga and even aerial yoga are offered – perfect for beginners and seasoned yogis alike.

  • Pools & Entertainment: Two pools, nightly shows, themed events, and a lively atmosphere.

  • Kids Club: One of the best I’ve seen, with age-specific activities, their own pool and water slide, and loads of space to explore.

  • Adventure & Sports: From trapeze and archery to tennis, golf, fitness classes, and water sports – there's something for everyone.

Final Thoughts
This resort is a fantastic option for families and couples wanting an easy, all-inclusive beach escape- there is something to keep everyone happy. The food, service, and facilities were top-notch, and the entire stay felt seamless and rejuvenating. I left relaxed, impressed, and already thinking about when I could return.
